Eurotrol's mission is to guide partners in choosing the best components and systems for primary water treatment. A second-generation Italian company, Eurotrol spa is now led by CEO Patrizia Leoni, who tells us about her experience.
What is history of Eurotrol?
Our story begins in 2000, when my father, Rino Leoni, founded the company with the idea of selling components for water treatment. At the time we were a small family business that distributed valves for softening and filtration, now we are a B2B company, one of the largest international distributors of materials and solutions for primary water treatment of the best brands, including our own brand MWG: we serve customers in 70 countries worldwide. For the first time we participated in IFAT, the world-renowned event for sustainable water management, in Munich in May 2024 where we presented the leading products of primary water treatment and we will be present at WETEX 2024 which takes place in Dubai from 1 to 3 October, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) you can meet us at the Italian Pavilion stand 6-F8.

How did the company gain a leading international role in the water treatment components sector?
With competence, seriousness, determination and passion of all the people who work in our company have been fundamental to get to where we are today. In 25 years we have always tried to grow and evolve, without however failing the ideals and values that distinguish us.
What is your added value?
Customers initially choose us for the quality and great variety of products always in stock: but it is the customized customer experience that wins them over and makes them come back: we provide personalized services, in particular the technical consultancy of our engineers, dedicated customer care and an integrated logistics system.
Hers is a female leadership in a company that is very attentive to gender equality.
Absolutely feminine! By the way, my daughter decided to join the company, I didn't take it for granted that it would happen, and seeing her so motivated makes me very happy. Our sector is characterized by a strong male presence, but I have never considered it a limit: I believe that the feminine approach in business and in life has a great added value and women are very good at doing business and covering strategic roles.
In the company I try to recognize and reward the commitment and value of people, taking concrete care of gender equality, work-life balance and offering growth opportunities.
What is sustainability for Eurotrol?
It is the center of our development plan for the future. Sustainability understood not only as a business management model, but also as a plan for shared value with all stakeholders. This year we decided to draw up our first voluntary sustainability report, to understand what the next steps to take will be, in established times and ways. They are precise objectives, at an environmental, social and governance level.
